Founded through community leadership
From 1928 through 1998, the organization was known as the Mount Kisco Lions Volunteer Ambulance Corps,
reflecting a successful 70-year partnership with the Mount Kisco Lions Club.
The Lions Club showed remarkable foresight and initiative in 1928 by helping establish a volunteer ambulance
corps for the community � the first agency of its kind in Westchester County.
A lasting legacy
In 1998, the Corps incorporated as the Mount Kisco Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Inc., primarily because of the
increasing costs associated with operating the Corps and the need to use revenue recovery to help fund operations.
We remain grateful to the Mount Kisco Lions Club for their vision, guidance, and continued support.
